with an engaging and interactive learning experience so they are ready to use the skills in real life, and because
we are a Training Partner with the Canadian Red Cross the certificates they receive are nationally recognized and
valid for three years.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
•
Increased confidence to take constructive action during an emergency.
•
Relief and contribution to recovery from past traumas related to emergencies.

Improved team safety dynamic and safer environment created as the result of preventative awareness.
All 4Cast First Aid Trainers are certified Red Cross Trainers.
STANDARD FIRST AID (includes CPR Level C and AED Training)
Standard First Aid focuses on care for emergencies throughout the body and because of the length of the
course, it allows for enough hands-on practice time to instil the confidence needed to use the skills in real life.
We include CPR Level C and AED training at no additional cost because this level focuses on providing care for
adults, children, and infants and we want first aiders to feel confident helping anyone in need.
Option 1: In-Class
•
14-16 Training Hours (not including breaks)
o
ex. 8:30am – 4:30pm for 2 days, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch each day,
equals 14 training hours.
o
Note: We consistently find that the in-class option results in the highest level of participant
confidence and willingness to use the skills in real life if needed.
Option 2: Online Blended Learning:
•
6-8 hours online at your convenience + 7.5 training hours in class
o
ex. 8:30am – 5:00pm for 1 day, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch equals 7.5
training hours.
o
Note: Only have one day to train your team, but you want them to have a higher certification
than Emergency First Aid? This blended learning course is the solution.
There are no minimum or maximum participant requirements. Instructors will be provided at a ratio of
1:18.
Certificate:
Successful participants receive a nationally recognized Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR
Level C and AED certificate which is valid for 3 years. The certificate is delivered as an electronic
document directly to each participant for easy management and employer verification. This new
electronic system has replaced the old wallet card.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID (includes CPR Level C and AED Training)
Emergency First Aid focuses on care for airway, breathing, and circulatory emergencies as well as wound care,
diabetic shock, and seizure care. We include CPR Level C and AED training at no additional cost because this
level focuses on providing care for adults, children, and infants and we want first aiders to feel confident helping
anyone in need. Because of the short length of the course and the amount of material to cover, it is a FULL and
FAST-PACED day! It’s not the right fit for everyone, so please also check out the section on Standard First Aid
above which is our number one recommendation to all of our clients.
This is a full 8:30am – 5:30pm program, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch (equals 8
training hours).
